There's no doubting that behind the makeup Kim Kardashian is beautiful, but it's still nice to know just how much is needed to reach celeb status.

The reality tv star gave her 16 million Twitter fans an insight into the colossal amount of work that goes into making up a Kardashian while preparing for a photo shoot with sisters' Khloe and Kourtney.

Wearing what looked more like war paint, the 31 year old received a heavy coating of foundation which was used to contour and sculpt her face.

While the overall effect is definitely stunning, we're not sure if we could be bothered with the amount of effort involved!
