Powderfinger Leave Final Mark With Footprints

Almost exactly a year to the day since performing together for the very last time, the legendary Powderfinger are back with a brilliant new collection, Footprints – The Best of Powderfinger 2001-2011.

The album picks up the Powderfinger story from the release of the band’s fifth studio album, the rock-driven, chart-topping Vulture Street (2003). The hits and fan favourites featured on Footprints are also drawn from the band’s final two albums, Dream Days at the Hotel Existence (2007) and the Finger’s swan song, Golden Rule (2009), both of which similarly debuted at the top of the ARIA album charts upon release.

Two new, never-before-heard Powderfinger songs are also featured, the glorious acoustic-based ballad ‘Empty Space’ (watch the music video below), and the country-tinged rocker ‘Silver Bullet’.

Powderfinger might be gone but their music will live forever. For newcomers and lifelong fans alike, Footprints – The Best of Powderfinger 2001-2011 will provide the perfect final chapter in an unforgettable music story.
